Submittal Log
Build a project's submittal log in Excel: one row per submission, in the project's own review status words, previewed before you export.
The Submittal Log is the report most consultants and contractors exchange every week: every document submitted for review, its revisions, the review outcome and how long the review took. Document Ocean 360 builds it from the project’s own records, in the project’s own review status codes, and shows a live preview before you export it to Excel.
Open it from the project: Reports → Submittal Log.
Building the Log
Open the report
In the project, go to Reports and choose Submittal Log. It opens with the project's default options.
Set the options
Choose the status column, header lines, rows, sheets, filters and columns (each described below). The preview updates as you change them.
Check the preview
The Preview shows each sheet and how many rows it holds. Warnings appear here, for example a review status that does not yet count as any group.
Export to Excel
Click Export to Excel. When the file is ready, click Download. The download link is valid for 1 hour.
Save as project default (optional)
Click Save as project default so the next person who opens the log starts from the same options.

Report options
Review status shows the project's own words (from Project Config); Internal shows the Document Ocean 360 result (Approved, Rejected, Under review); Both shows two columns, the review status first.
Lines printed above each sheet: project name and code, the status summary, and lines taken from the project's tag categories. A line with no value on a sheet is left out.
One row per revision (Rev 0, Rev 1, … each on its own row) or only the latest revision of each document. Rows can also be grouped by a tag category.
Per type (one sheet for each document type), Single (everything on one sheet, with a Type column), or one sheet for each value of a tag category.
Date received from and until, document types, a title or number search, and tag filters.
Choose and reorder the columns. The DCS number column is always included.
Available columns
SN, Date Received, Reference No., Disc., Rev., Description, Status, Date Reviewed, Transmittal No., Reviewer, Days in review and Status category.
What the log includes
The log lists documents that were submitted for review. Documents never submitted are not listed; the preview tells you how many there are.
Weekly reporting
Save your usual options as the project default once. Each week, open the log, adjust the date received range, and export.
