Dashboard Overview
Your dashboard is the command center of Document Ocean 360. Learn how to read stats cards, track activity, manage tasks, and jump to any part of the app in seconds.
The dashboard is the first thing you see after logging in. It’s designed to give you an instant pulse on your projects — what needs attention, what’s on track, and where to go next.
/dashboard Stats cards
Across the top of the dashboard, you’ll see a row of stats cards that summarize your project portfolio at a glance. Each card shows a count and a trend indicator compared to the previous period.
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Total Documents | Number of active documents across all your projects |
| Pending Reviews | Documents waiting for your review or approval |
| Open Transmittals | Transmittals that haven’t been acknowledged by all recipients |
| Overdue Items | Documents, submittals, or tasks past their due date |
Click any stat card to drill down
Each stats card is interactive. Clicking “Pending Reviews” takes you directly to a filtered list of documents awaiting your action — no manual searching required.
When all overdue items are resolved, the Overdue Items card shows a green checkmark. If anything is past due, it turns red with the count — so you can never miss a deadline.
Activity feed
Below the stats cards, the activity feed shows a chronological stream of events across your projects. Each entry tells you:
- Who performed the action
- What happened (uploaded, approved, rejected, transmitted, commented)
- Which document was affected
- When it happened (relative timestamps)
For example, you might see:
Sarah Chen approved drawing
MEC-DWG-001 Rev.C— the status changed from Under Review to Approved .
James Park rejected submittal
CIV-SUB-042with comments — status is now Rejected .
Maria Lopez uploaded revision D of
ELE-SPC-018— the previous revision is now Superseded .
Filtering the activity feed
Use the dropdown filters above the feed to narrow events by project, action type, or user. This is especially useful on large programs where hundreds of events happen daily.
My Tasks
The My Tasks panel on the right side of the dashboard shows everything that requires your direct action. Tasks are sorted by urgency:
- Overdue — Tasks past their due date, highlighted in red
- Due Today — Tasks due within the next 24 hours
- Upcoming — Tasks due within the next 7 days
Each task shows the document title, the action required (review, approve, acknowledge), and the due date. Click any task to jump directly to the document.
Documents move through statuses as they progress through workflows:
- Draft — Initial upload, not yet submitted
- Under Review — Submitted and awaiting reviewer action
- Approved — Passed all review stages
- Approved with Comments — Approved but with noted changes
- Rejected — Sent back for revision
- Superseded — Replaced by a newer revision
Don't ignore overdue tasks
Overdue tasks trigger email reminders to both you and your project admin. Consistent overdue items may affect project KPIs visible to the client and project leadership.
